Chambourcin is a fantastic red grape originating in 1960’s France and is now one the most widely planted hybrid grape varieties in the world with plantings in France, Portugal, Australia, and the United States. This dark skinned grape thrives in warm, humid conditions and develops intense dark fruit all the way to herbaceous aromas depending on where it is grown.
This light and fruity wine gets its marvelous color from immediately pressing hand-picked fruit.
Stainless Steel, No ML, Temperature Controlled
The grapes for the 2015 Chambourcin Rosé were hand-picked and pressed immediately after destemming to minimize skin extraction. It was fermented cool in a stainless steel tank and was arrested right before finishing to maintain a touch of sweetness that contributes to the body of this wine.
